Haagen II

An open day at Holme Grove Trakehners started our fascination with warmbloods and, shortly afterwards, Holme Grove Mary Poppins was purchased in foal to the Danish Warmblood dressage sire, Gefion - Haagen, the first of several stunning foals Mary was to give us, was the result.

Haagen, born in 1998, oozes personality and is a huge character! As is typical of the Trakehner side of his breeding, he's very much a 'people' horse and we're sure that, if he could, he would follow us in the house and make himself at home on the sofa such is his desire to be in the family circle!

Haagen's competitive career has had a few punctuations through our spending time bringing on youngsters (to say nothing of running a busy livery yard and schooling visiting horses!), but we hope to bring him out at Medium later this year.

He has naturally elevated paces - a quality which was commented on as a 2-year-old by visiting German judges at the Trakehner Breeders' Fraternity Show 2000, where he was awarded Reserve Supreme Champion (pictured left).
